ਮੈਂ ਬੇਦਿਆਨਤ ਬਦਨਜ਼ਰ ਦਰਮੰਦ ਬਰਖੁਰਦਾਰ॥
ਬੇਅਦਬ ਬਦਬਖਤ ਬੀਰਾ ਬੇਅਕਲ ਬਦਕਾਰ ॥੧॥
ਮੈਂ ਗੁਨਹਗਾਰ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਗਾਫਿਲ ਕਮਦਿਲਾ ਕਰਤਾਰ॥

O God! You alone are truly wise and all-knowing. You are the origin and beginning of this universe. You are the Emperor of emperors, while I am weak, helpless, and distressed.
I am dishonest, misguided, sinful, foolish, and filled with faults. I am ignorant and spiritually careless. O Creator, You are merciful and generous, while I remain greedy and attached to worldly desires.
My body is weak and troubled, and my mind is filled with fear and uncertainty.
