ਮੈ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਲਾਦਿਆ ਬਿਖੁ ਲਾਦੀ ਸੰਸਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
ਉਰਵਾਰ ਪਾਰ ਕੇ ਦਾਨੀਆ ਲਿਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਆਲ ਪਤਾਲੁ॥
ਮੋਹਿ ਜਮ ਡੰਡੁ ਨ ਲਾਗਈ ਤਜੀਲੇ ਸਰਬ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥੩॥
ਜੈਸਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਕਸੁੰਭ ਕਾ ਤੈਸਾ ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ॥
ਮੇਰੇ ਰਮਈਏ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਜੀਠ ਕਾ ਕਹੁ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਚਮਾਰ ॥੪॥੧॥

The path to God is difficult and steep, and I travel it with a weak and imperfect ox. My humble prayer to God is: protect my spiritual wealth, O Lord.
Is there any true merchant of God who will journey with me? My caravan is loaded, and I am preparing to depart.
I am a merchant of the Divine Name. I carry the wealth of God’s remembrance, while the world carries the poison of worldly attachment.
Let the record-keepers of this world and the next write whatever they wish about me — I no longer fear judgment. Since I have abandoned worldly entanglements, the fear of death cannot harm me.
This world is temporary, like the fading colour of safflower. But the colour of God’s love is deep and everlasting, like the permanent dye of madder.
